General product FAQs.
What are cooling vests used for?
Our vests are designed to reduce heat stress and manage body temperature in sport, medical, industrial, and personal settings.
How do the vests work?
The vests use a combination of Merino wool, microfibre mesh, and temperature-retaining gel pockets. Once activated, they draw heat away from the body and help maintain a cooler core temperature.
Can I use cooling vests and cooling caps for medical conditions?
Yes! Our products are used to assist with conditions such as multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, and spinal injuries, where heat sensitivity is a concern. Cooling caps are ideal for people who suffer from migraines or have chemo-induced hair loss. All our Arctic Heat products can be used both hot and cold providing injury mangement & rehabilitation.
Are cooling vests suitable for athletes?
Absolutely. Our vests are trusted by Formula 1, AFL players, V8 Supercar drivers, Australian Open, and other elite athletes to improve performance and recovery. But you don’t need to be a professional to enjoy the benefits!
Can I wear a cooling vest under clothing?
Yes, the slim and lightweight design makes them suitable for wearing under loose clothing. This is particularly handy for those wearing it on the job — under a uniform, WorkSafe gear or even a team Mascot costume!
What sizes are available?
Our vests come in a range of sizes. Please note the vests can’t be adjusted for fit — unlike a life jacket that can be tightened or loosened. Check the sizing chart on each product page for details.
How do I choose the correct size?
Our cooling vests are designed to be most effective fitting snug against the body - either directly on the skin or over a thin top or shirt. Measurement can be taken around the chest area under the armpits.
Can I bulk order for a team or organisation?
Yes — we offer bulk pricing for sporting teams, workplaces, and medical organisations. Please contact us directly for a custom quote.
How do I become a Retail Stockist?
We are always excited to hear from retailers wanting to stock our products! Please email through your request and we will provide a tailored pricing guide.
Medical FAQs.
Are these products approved for medical use?
Yes. Our cooling products are made from scientifically tested materials and meet rigorous quality and safety standards. Selected products also meet EU, MDR and UKCA requirements, making them suitable for use in medical environments. Testing conducted by the CSIRO has proven the effectiveness of the vest in all applications, reducing skin temperature by up to 17 degrees celsius.
When heated, would these products help with arthritis?
Yes — they’ve been trialed and approved by the Arthritis Foundation of Australia. Applying heat to affected areas can help increase blood flow and improve joint mobility. Our products are designed to retain warmth for extended periods, offering consistent relief that’s easy to manage at home. Their lightweight, easy-to-use design makes them ideal for people with limited movement or chronic joint pain.
Can your products help my child’s eczema?
Yes — our products have been trialed by the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, with impressive results. Cooling the skin helps reduce itchiness and inflammation, which is especially beneficial for children suffering from eczema.
Are these products suitable for people with multiple sclerosis (MS)?
Absolutely. Many people with MS use our vests to help manage heat sensitivity — a common symptom of the condition. By helping regulate body temperature, our products can improve comfort, reduce fatigue, and support better day-to-day functioning.
Can these cooling caps be used during chemotherapy?
Yes. Our cooling caps are often used during chemotherapy to help reduce the risk of hair loss by lowering scalp temperature. They also help alleviate heat-related discomfort caused by certain treatments, improving overall patient comfort.
